Since 1964, Burnley has
been empowering
individuals and economic
potential. We do
this by helping them to
achieve their full
social, vocational and
economic potential.
We do this by partnering
with |
|
area busniness, where
companies provide the
work, Burnley the
training, and together
we help those with
disabilities achieve
their goals and dreams.
Burnley Employment and
Rehabilitation Services
collaborates with other
private and public
agencies in developing a
comprehensive program of
services to individuals
with disabilities.

Starting with a small
"Sheltered Workshop"
facility in East
Stroudsburg, Burnley has
expanded to cover all
areas of Monroe County.
Daily we serve |
|
|
over one hundred
people in our
habilitative and
rehabilitative programs.
The founders aimed to provide individuals that had mental, physical or emotional disabilities with stimulating work, steady pay and the chance to be taxpaying, involved community members. After more than four decades, the vision is unchanged, and the organization is robust.

"One key reason
Sanofi Pasteur
has provided
philanthopic
support to
Burnley is
because of its
unique,
progressive
model. It
truly is an
ingenious
melding of
social service,
self sufficiency
and business
development,
enhancing
Northeast
Pennsylvania on
many levels."
